Permit Application Process:
The Commercial Development (CD) Department requires Airport tenants and subtenants to submit all permit applications and related documents to CD for compliance review with the DFW Development Design Guidelines, the Ground Lease, and the Subtenant Consent Agreement. Once the permit package is initially reviewed and approved by CD, it is sent to the Design, Code and Construction (DCC) Department - Code Compliance team for permit number assignment, and final permit review and approval. CD will notify the applicant and/or contractor when the permit package has been sent to Code Compliance. Note: Do not contact Code Compliance until CD sends a notification stating the permit package was forwarded to Code (Permitting). This is an edit!

DCC Code Compliance Review Process:
During the Code Compliance review process comments should be addressed directly to dfwsubmittals@dfwairport.com, and copy CD.

Permit Issuance and Addendums:
Once Code Compliance has reviewed and approved all outstanding items on the permit and the permit fee has been paid, a pre-construction meeting will be scheduled. After the permit has been issued, all addendums or modifications made to the issued permit set must be submitted to CD for an initial review and approval, prior to submitting to Code Compliance. Ensure the permit set follows the current and DFW adopted International Building Codes.
