Property Description

The West Air Cargo development district is comprised of approximately 303 acres and approximately 3.2 million square feet of facilities. The Northeast Air Cargo consists of approximately 84 acres with approximately 900,000 square feet of facilities for air cargo development, utilizing airside access.

DFW Airport is currently planning for and investing in Cargo City, located on the west side of the airport. Expanded aircraft parking areas will accommodate the world’s largest freighter aircraft. Many of our current cargo facilities will be redeveloped to include sophisticated pallet storage and retrieval/delivery systems, as well as the most efficient handling equipment, ensuring timely aircraft turnaround times.

Cargo City will also include special handling and processing capacity, such as refrigerated facilities and fumigation processes to accommodate the rapidly growing volume of freighters and belly cargo carriers from Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East through integrators including Amazon, FedEx, UPS, etc.
